Taste of Australia Wine Show 2017
Taste of Australia 2017 kicked off with the very first Taste of Australia Public Wine Show to increase consumers’ knowledge and interest in Australian wines. The event was enjoyed by over 300 people in Ho Chi Minh City. Participants tasted the quality and range of Australian wines from 28 Australian wineries, as well as learning all about Australian wines in six educational workshops run by Master of Wine Mark Pygott, and Jacob’s Creek, Penfolds, Yalumba and Lindeman’s wineries. Everyone who attended also got to take home a bit of “Taste of Australia” with our beautiful commemorative glass
The Australian Government also partnered with 10 importers of Australian wine to host two ‘Australian Wine Gems 2017’ industry masterclasses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The Hanoi masterclass was opened by the Hon Keith Pitt MP, Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment. The objectives of the masterclasses were to increase industry leaders’ understanding of Australian wines and increase market share in Vietnam. 14 Australian wines were showcased and over 160 invited participants attended from targeted retailers, wine importers and distributors.
